The Western Michigan Bulldog Club's first formal meeting was held November
21, 1992 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. There were 26 charter members from all over the Western Michigan area. Consisting of both
Pet homes as well as Exhibitors; with one commonality being that they all loved their bulldogs as family.
That still
holds just as true now as it did then with the club members today. From the first day the club was formed there has
always been a tremendous team effort and feeling of family with the group, and even through the names have changed over the
years, the family team effort still remains.
WMBC has members from Western Michigan, Southwest, Michigan areas and well beyond.
The
club held its first puppy match on April 19, 1994 and the first AKC approved B match
on October 22, 1994. Since then they have gone on to host Annual Specialty Shows in conjunction with the annual Puppy Match in April of each year.
This Annual show is located in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
